The Most Common Reasons for MLM Failure
Most everyone who signs on for an MLM business has high aspirations of making it big. Here are some reasons that some peoples’ boat sinks. – and how to keep yours afloat.
It takes awhile to make money in an MLM business. Some pay daily, but many more pay weekly or even monthly. During the first sixty days, which is the amount of time it takes, on average, for you, a new marketer to find your first distributor, you will be paying out membership costs, in addition to buying products or activating services, and buying marketing materials. You may have already made your list of market prospects, too, and are half-heartedly calling those people, and experiencing a lot of rejection. This is before you’ve made any money in the business. Most people hate selling, so have something online, like an e-book, that can be digitally shipped immediately as people purchase it.
You may run out of those luke-warm prospects, too, before you make any money. You can get a lot of “no’s” before you finally get your first yes, but it will come, if you keep trying.
If you’re not the type of person who enjoys working in sales, this job will be harder for you than it needs to be. Network marketing attracts people who aren’t entrepreneurs. But the people who you recruit are not going to all be avid sellers. They may be afraid to approach people, and of the rejections that they are bound to get.
If you can harvest a system that’s based on the internet, you stand a better chance of succeeding, because the only people you will talk to are qualified people and potential distributors. In this manner, you will experience less rejection, and increase the number of people that join your network.
Most people don’t have any prior knowledge about how to build a business of the internet. It’s the wave of the future, not the past. There are many opportunities online, but the key will be finding a program that is easy for you to understand and market.
Make sure you avail yourself of conference calls and other training techniques that your company offers. If they don’t offer training, find a new company. You will need someone who has been there and done that to do qualified training, so that you will have the chance to make money online, too.
