Email Marketing for Your MLM Business

You have probably asked yourself how you can capitalize on emails, in marketing your MLM business.

The answer is incorporating permission-based and opt-in clients into your marketing plan. Since you have a great business idea, you will want to use all means to increase your profits. This includes email marketing, but not spamming.

The best way to avoid spamming, and having all your emails caught by a spam filter, is to get permission from people to send them emails. You would ideally like your website visitors to give you their email addresses so that you can contact them in the future.

There are many different ways you can accomplish this. If you create an e-zine, you can offer readers an electronic course by autoresponders. You could also start up a resource center an another site, and then link your store page so that it points toward your actual product site.

Never buy a list of opt-in email addresses to send prospecting emails to. You don’t know who mined the emails, and they probably did not give the “ok” for their email to be given to other parties. I have actually sent multiple email ads to emails on lists purchased online. I never got reported to my ISP, that I know of, but I never got a new distributor from any of them, either.

Instead of spamming, when you are ready to follow-up with your ezines or autoresponders, give some instant information resources that your visitors can check out and benefit from.

So, what type of resource center should you build on your site? Google the things that interest your customers the most, and find resources that unravel the mysteries about them. If your customer base deals with weddings, you might create a resource area regarding how to select a diamond. Provide a link to one or more diamond specialists online, and write articles about the things that go into planning weddings.

You can also take advantage of emails by using your signature on them. This tacks on some extra information and something about your business. It’s easy to create a signature, and you can insert your URL, or a tag line, etc. Check out sites like CoolSig for ways to create a sig for yourself.

If you generate leads online, or if you want to in the future, you can set up personalized follow-ups or newsletters to sell more products. Since email is free, every sale brings you profits. You probably have a short-list of customers already, and you’ll be happy when you see how many more you can gather just through follow-up emails to customers and leads you already have.
