MLM Prospecting Made Easy – Looking for Gold on the Internet

Network marketer using the internet.Webster’s Dictionary defines prospecting as looking for gold. That’s what you’re doing with MLM prospecting too – it’s a different type of gold, but no less valuable.

Prospecting in the field of MLM simply defines the strategies and tactics you use in finding people to spread the word about your business. If you DON’T prospect, then you will end up like NINETY percent of network marketing people – giving up.

There’s a four-step process that will help you use prospecting to improve your network marketing business.

1. You need to use whatever tactics work for you to find people who have an interest in what your business sells or does. There are many ways to do this, some more time-consuming than others. Basically, you need to communicate with people – online and in the “real world” – who might want in on your business.

2. Expose your business by creating some way that tells people succinctly WHAT your business does, and WHY they should become a part of it. You can make your pitch over lunch, at meetings, or in videos at youtube and other sites.

Initially, you want to get your IDEA out, not all the information about your business. Pique their interest before you go into a long sales pitch. If the people you are talking to or targeting have influence in what OTHER people do, getting them interested can increase your business exponentially.

Use MLM recruiting and prospecting TOOLS to get the word out about your business. You can hand out cd’s or dvd’s, or brochures. The best tools make people react in a positive and emotional way, to your business. Let your tools expose your business, and IF the prospects WANT more information, then you can step in and explain your products or services to them.

3. Separation is where you put prospects into two groups: OPEN to your ideas and CLOSED to them. Don’t waste a lot of time pitching your ideas to CLOSED-minded people, unless they will refer others to your company.

4. For OPEN minded people, get them into your company’s recruiting and retailing system, and then let the SYSTEM do its thing. Have them attend (in real life or online) a presentation of your Network Marketing company.

If you realize that although these people seemed OPEN, that they are in actuality CLOSED, ask them if they might be interested at a later date, and ask them for referrals of others who might be interested.

This system actually filters out people who are not interested enough to spend time on, so you can USE that time on people who MAY join your company.

Use these steps and improve upon each one as you go, so that you can become a master prospector for your Network Marketing business.
