Obstacles to Hurdle with your MLM Business

If you want to find success in an MLM business, it all depends on what you are willing to put into it. You have to work at building your business, or building your team so that they can build your business.

What road-blocks keep us from success in our MLM companies? Here are a few things.

Don’t waste time on work you don’t need to do. You don’t want “busy work” taking up time you could be using constructively to generate leads or develop your downline. Cleaning out your desk will not help you succeed in business.

Don’t try to build up your business by face to face meetings. You need to learn how to use leverage in order to make your MLM business a rousing success. Go beyond what the MLM company offered you in the way of training.

Don’t call leads. Unless you have free minutes, calling leads is expensive. And even if you have free minutes, it’s time-wasting. If you like telemarketing, by all means go for it, but it’s far better to generate your own leads rather than calling potential leads.

Don’t waste your time training prospective distributors that are not qualified. If you want your MLM company to be successful, you need to get qualified leads, and spend your time training them.

Don’t do all the work yourself. You’ll have to give up some of your control if you want your business to truly expand. Outsource things that you don’t have time to do, or things that you feel you don’t do very well. There are sites online that list qualified people to do the “grunt” work for your business.

If you’ve been in MLM business for awhile, your growth may have already been stunted by some of these roadblocks. You need to take these lessons to heart. MLM isn’t like winning a lottery – it’s not a get-rich-quick scheme, despite all you may read. It will take you time to build your business, one that can create income for you. But it may take months – or even years – for that to happen. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it.

Be open to new ideas, as long as they work within your business plan. No matter how great players are, we still need a coach sometimes. Coaches can help you overcome your weaknesses and improve your strong areas.

It’s a good advice to not try to do all the work yourself. As your MLM business expands you find yourself at a point that you can’t do everything yourself and you need to outsource some of the “dirty” work. People who pass that point are those that make the most money in multilevel marketing.
