MLM Training – Social Networking is a Key to MLM Success!

We’ve all spent the big bucks on yahoo marketing and google adwords, and those are certainly valid ways to get your company “out there”. But there are lots of other places online where you can subtly advertise… for FREE!

Whether you use business networking sites like Direct Matches and Fast Pitch, or generic social sites like Facebook and MySpace, you can build relationships DAILY, and bring your services or products to the attention of the millions of people who network socially.

Here are some ways to use MySpace, one of the busiest sites on the internet, to promote your MLM business:

Create an amusing or catchy profile. It does NOT need to be related to your business. In fact, it’s better if it’s not. That comes later. Invite friends and build a big friends list.

Do NOT put banner ads or links to your site on your profile, your wall, or any posts or comments you make. MySpace is a “non-commercial” site. You don’t want to run in and start shoving your business down peoples’ throats.

Put puzzles and games on your page. Recipes are good, too. Here is where you may slide in interesting points about your services or products, but NOT blatant sales ads. You want to entice people to learn more, not get pushy with them.

Make your profile interactive. Use trivia questions, or anything to make people want to interact with you. You can have contests with your trivia, too. Post two or three questions and give points to the first people who answer them correctly.

Every time you post a bulletin, your MySpace friends will get it, so people will be coming back to your profile page. The more people you can get there, the more potential clicks you get to your site!

Ask famous people within your field to be your friends. Anyone who is related to the niche your business is in, ask them to be your friend. And put them in the TOP slots on your friends list. That way you’ll get more attention. Just by having their friend profiles there, it implicitly makes it look like they endorse your service or product.

Use keywords. We know the importance of keywords in google adwords and the like, but MySpace content IS picked up by search engines, too, so it’s like FREE advertising! Make sure your content is of good quality.

Create a MySpace account and get out there and make some friends! It DOES take time, but it’s FREE and productive!
