MLM Training – Are You REALLY a Sponsor?

There is a whopping big difference between a recruiter and a sponsor. A recruiter has what it takes to sign people up and get them on board, but then he falters. He’s frantic to find the next great member of his downline, but he doesn’t actively help anyone he signs on. He thinks workers will become super-workers if that’s what they’re meant to be, whether he helps them or not.

A sponsor believes that if you recruit a person, you should spend time developing him as well. A sponsor will “marry” the people in his downline.

If you are a sponsor, you already know that this activity continues long after you sign someone on. If you offer your downline continuing help, that will create a sense of loyalty to you, and it will also grant you credibility. The sponsor is a teacher and helper, who believes that you should have all the help you need, to succeed. A sponsor will also encourage you when you’re feeling like this position isn’t working for you.

There’s another plus to being a sponsor, too. If you spend time helping your recruits, they will believe that this is how it should be done, and they will help their recruits, as well.

How do you become an MLM superstar? You need determination, commitment and confidence. These all are learned, if your sponsor is a good one. They are taught to you, and you catch on. The stages of becoming an MLM superstar are:

Having a helpful sponsor who supports your efforts

Learning to be a positive and influential sponsor yourself

Developing your downline to be true sponsors as well

The “big secret” to finding success in network marketing is that a recruiter who is not also a sponsor isn’t building any level of organization underneath him. It’s all at one level, and most people under him will become discouraged and quit. The sponsor, on the other hands, builds a teachable system that can work all the way through his downline. His downline will be strong and deep.

If you ask yourself if you can be a sponsor, look to your upline for part of the answer. If no one above you is helping, it will be harder for you to mentor and tutor people under you. There are two rules to reach success in network marketing: You need to be a sponsor, and keep being a sponsor until you have a successful downline, and beyond.
